Acute Asthmatic Bronchitis

March 28th, 2012 No comments

Bronchitis is a swelling of the lining of the air tubes. This condition causes the respiratory passages leading to the lungs to become swollen and increase mucus production. It is usually diagnosed by a doctor based on the symptoms that accompany coughing. This condition is also referred to as bronchitis lung.

The symptoms for acute and chronic bronchitis are similar. People who suffer from either form experience coughing fits. They may also see increased production of phlegm, discomfort in the chest, wheezing, elevated body temperature and occasional chills. The phlegm produced due to this condition may be clear, gray, white, or yellowish-green in color. The color may help a doctor determine what the bronchitis cause for a given patient is.

During the day you can try a herbal steam that will help you to cough up any mucous. Bring a pot of water to a boil, adding herbs that are expectorants. Good expectorants include eucalyptus, thyme, peppermint, and rosemary. Take the pot to a table and put it on a trivet or pot holder. Using a big, heavy towel, lean over the pot and put the towel over your head and the pot, breathe in the steam. This is a very effective natural bronchitis cure, and will also help with your cold.

In addition to viral causes, acute bronchitis can be caused by chemical irritants. These include tobacco smoke, solvents, and gastric reflux. Smoking predisposes people to acute bronchitis. One way to prevent it is to quit smoking. This helps to decrease the amount of tar in the lungs and loosen up the bronchial passages.

Do antibiotics work for either kind of bronchitis lung? No. Almost all cases of bronchitis are viral infections so antibiotics do not do anything to help cure bronchitis. Antibiotics are commonly still prescribed for bronchitis even though they can actually do more harm than good. Rest and low activity are recommended to alleviate symptoms. Usually treating the symptoms is all that can be done to help a person feel better until the immune system can fight it off. It is very important to treat bronchitis lung as it can develop into pneumonia.

Bronovil has extract of the African herb pelargonium, which has been used to ease coughing, reduce inflammation, and as an immune booster. This bronchitis cure comes in capsule form and is a great way to treat bronchitis naturally. You can find out more information about bronovil at http://bronovil.com.

Synthetic Sweeteners for Diabetics

March 28th, 2012 No comments

The food industry has come up with an answer for people on diets or with diabetes or people who have a sweet tooth.  They’re known as synthetic sweeteners and they’re used in chewing gum, espresso sweeteners, and even baking.  There is some controversy over the usage of them as some of them are completely artificial and others are derived from the actual sugar plant.  But to a diabetic who doesn’t need to surrender sweets totally, these sweeteners can be a God send.

The four most common types of synthetic sweeteners are:  saccharin, aspartame, sucralose, acesulfame potassium. Every one of these sweeteners can be found in quite a lot of product names and brands.  Not all are made by the same method and they do have different uses.  Some you will find in liquid or powdered shape for baking purposes and others like aspartame is mostly found in foods that you acquire pre-made.

Using those synthetic sweeteners will not raise your blood sugar levels and are safe for a diabetic to use.  Always take care and pay attention to food that contains actual sugar and we don’t want to affect your blood sugar levels. Make sure you follow your diabetic nutrition plan, you can use some synthetic sweeteners to make certain food or drinks a little bit sweeter.

Some diabetics may choose to use honey or brown sugar as a substitute for regular white sugar. Brown sugar or honey is very similar to sugar in carbohydrate content and the effects it’s going to have on your blood glucose level. Always consult with your doctor with regards to what is actually sake to ingest.

Aspartame has been linked in medical research with Alzheimer’s disease. Again I can not stress this enough, talk to your doctor about the benefits and dangers of using of any type of sweetener replacement.

If you are having problems finding comida para diabeticos you are not alone alimentacion para diabeticos is very important to win the battle with diabetes.

Factors Behind Anxiety Attacks – What Causes An Anxiety Attack

November 24th, 2011 No comments

So, what are the reasons for anxiety attacks?  Well, there isn’t any definite answer for everyone.  The causes vary from individual to individual and it depends on the situation.  So, what I am going to do is share with you the causes of attacks.  That way, if you have an attack, you’ll know exactly what to do.

The causes of anxiety attacks are :

1.  Fears.  Someone, if exposed to something that they’re afraid of, will naturally have an anxiety attack.  An example would be if you are frightened of public speaking.

2.  Hyperventilation syndrome.  This is another cause of anxiety.  Hyperventilation syndrome is triggered when you breath through your mouth.  When you do this for a very long time, your heart rate increases, which triggers light headedness.  And at last it will trigger an anxiety attack.

3.  Medications.  Using antidepressants unduly, you could be causing an anxiety attack.  Taking too many anti-depressant tablets has complications.  And that side effect is an anxiety attack.  Try hard not to take a lot of anti-depressant drugs.

4.  Heredity.  If one of the members of your family has a history of anxiety attacks or panic attacks, there is a probability that you’ll have this disorder too.

5.  Short term causes.  When something dramatic happens in your life,eg somebody close to you dying, it might trigger an anxiety attack.  If you’re having emotional Problems, make sure you don’t intake too much caffeine.  It could lead you to have an anxiety attack.

6.  Environment.  Another reason for anxiety attacks is because of the environment.  It could be from the wet or hot atmosphere.  Or it may be from you being around too many people.  Some folks can’t deal with being around lots of people for long time periods.

These are some causes of anxiety attacks.  If you have these signs, you have to do something about it.  Waiting to stop your anxiety attack might be fatal.

The Resveratrol Content in Red Wine

October 26th, 2011 No comments

Resveratrol is a natural antioxidant that occurs in red wine and in the skin of red grapes. It has been discovered to have many positive effects on the body, including protection against heart disease, slowing the aging process, speeding up the metabolism to help with weight loss, heightening energy, and even improving the complexion. Some studies show that resveratrol can protect against more serious conditions such as cancer, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia.

Resveratrol weight loss is not a claim without merit. Labs of researchers and scientists have conducted several studies to add validity to the claim. One study involved giving one group doses of resveratrol without adjusting their previously unhealthy habits and leaving one group to continue the same habits without the aid of resveratrol. Even on a high fat and high calorie diet, internal damage normally seen with such an unhealthy lifestyle was dramatically increased, and the continuing weight gain was decreased in the group given resveratrol.

Resveratrol is an all-natural product and can be used as a dietary supplement to replace other more expensive and possibly dangerous products that have unknown side effects. With its numerous benefits, it is one of the top antioxidant vitamins available today and is often looked at as a fountain of life in just a pill.

Scientific research gave a regular dosage of reservatrol to mice and rats who lived a 20-50 percent longer life expectancy. The substance has been tested as a cure for inflammation, high blood sugar, cancer, other cardiovascular illnesses and problems caused by high calorie diets. The dosage proven to protect the mice and rats would be far too high for any human being. It is equivalent to a person drinking 300 glasses of red wine each day. That’s a lot of alcohol and would cause a reverse affect in cardiovascular and blood sugar problems. It would also very quickly cause a persons liver to fail.

Besides the fact that resveratrol grape juice has antioxidant capacity, the resveratrol grape juice also has a strong defense system. Phytoalexin present in the resveratol grape juice serves your body for the defense against the harmful chemicals and radicals in our body. Phytoalexin destroys the destructive attacking organisms and the percentage of antioxidant in phytoalexin is quite high in the resveratrol grape juice.

A great resveratrol supplement to try is called WINE-RX and can be found on http://winerx.org/. It contains high resveratrol content that is necessary for anti-aging, and also contains the wine that has resveratrol already in it.
