Denver?s Aguirre Specialty Care Announces New Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck with Liposuction) Procedure

Denver, CO (PRWEB)

Dr. Oscar A. Aguirre of Aguirre Specialty Care in Denver has introduced a combination procedure called ASC Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck with Liposuction), that is quickly becoming popular among women who have experienced childbirth, lost or gained a considerable amount of weight or simply aged. The new ASC Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck with Liposuction) addresses unwanted abdominal fat, weakened muscles and loose, stretched out skin. The ASC Abdominoplasty is often part of the comprehensive Real Mommy Makeover which addresses a variety of symptoms and problems that arise from pregnancy and childbirth.

?This new body sculpting technique allows me to help transform patients? bodies. This procedure can be an excellent choice after childbirth or dramatic weight loss,? says Dr. Aguirre of Aguirre Specialty Care. Dr. Aguirre continues, ?I am pleased to offer this procedure because many of my clients are mothers who may work out and eat well, but still find that they are unable to be rid of loose skin. The ASC Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck with Liposuction) provides an excellent solution to this common problem. Patients experience vastly improved results due to the combination of liposuction and tummy tuck.?

Traditionally, physicians never offered liposuction at the time of abdominoplasty for fear of additional complications such as poor healing and skin necrosis. This concern has since been allayed. Tumescent anesthesia makes it possible to safely combine these two procedures for even better cosmetic results. Women don?t just want a flat tummy; they also want to draw in their waist line by reducing their ?muffin top? through liposuction, enhancing their curves for a more hour glass figure.

Using a modified Avelar technique, Dr. Aguirre is able to do the ASC Abdominoplasty safely, in the comfort of his in-office surgical suite. This method has proven to be associated with fewer complications than traditional Abdominoplasty which is performed in a hospital setting under general anesthesia.

Many patients undergo the ASC Abdominoplasty a few days before pelvic surgery to correct childbirth-related vaginal issues. Dr. Aguirre adds, ?I?m proud to more completely address the concerns of my patients as they undergo reconstructive or cosmetic vaginal surgery by adding ASC Abdominoplasty. Patients are elated to learn we can refine a number of areas with just one recovery period. This full transformation is the essence of the Real Mommy Makeover!?

About Oscar A. Aguirre, MD

Dr. Aguirre is a fellowship-trained urogynecologist who has dedicated his entire surgical career to the evaluation and management of vaginal relaxation and bladder/bowel disorders. Since early in his career, Dr. Aguirre has performed cosmetic gynecological procedures at the request of his urogynecologic patients. In 2006, he formally pursued his interest in the field of Female Genital Cosmetic Surgery (FGCS) under the supervision of world-renowned gynecologist, Dr. David Matlock of Beverly Hills. Dr. Matlock is the pioneer and developer of Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation? (LVR?) and Laser Reduction Labiaplasty. With this additional training, Dr. Aguirre became the third urogynecologist in the country to perform these aesthetic vaginal procedures and implement them at the time of urogynecological procedures to restore anatomical pelvic floor defects. He recently presented at The World Congress on Female and Male Cosmetic Genital Surgery attended by cosmetic vaginal surgeons from all over the world.

In May of 2011, Dr. Aguirre completed Hi Def Liposculpture body sculpting training, becoming the third surgeon in Denver to offer this procedure to his patients. He trained under Colorado?s own Dr. John Millard, president of the Advanced Body Sculpting Institute and a double-board certified plastic surgeon, internationally known for his expertise in leading-edge body sculpting procedures, and Dr. David Broadway, founder of the Broadway Center for plastic surgery and a triple-board certified plastic surgeon. Hi Def Liposculpture enables physicians who have already achieved advanced liposuction skill to further refine their skills and attain the highest level of body sculpting techniques. This includes fat grafting and transfer to various areas of the body that are depleted of volume, such as the buttocks and labia majora. This allows Dr. Aguirre to both sculpt and augment simultaneously, so as to perform the popular Brazilian Butt Augmentation. Hi Def Lipsculpture takes into consideration the patient?s anatomy and underlying musculature, focusing on the whole anatomy to create a work of art.

In November of 2011, Dr. Aguirre had the privilege of receiving training for minimally-invasive abdominoplasty with liposuction with the highly-esteemed, gynecologist and cosmetic surgeon Dr. Marco Pelosi II, who has been a prominent figure in women?s health since 1975. With this training, Dr. Aguirre has become a master of the specialized, highly-sought-after technique and is able to offer yet another important service to his patients.

Dr. Aguirre is a preeminent pelvic surgeon who has been providing urogynecologic care for 15 years and is an expert in addressing both women’s functional and aesthetic concerns. Women who have concerns with the appearance of their vulvar or vaginal function should seek out the care of an experienced urogynecologic specialist, best suited to identify and treat the underlying problem. Dr. Aguirre has two extra years of training in vaginal and pelvic floor surgery compared to most other gynecologists who perform vaginal rejuvenation. Likewise, most plastic surgeons have had little, if any, vaginal surgery training. As an associate of the Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute of America, Dr. Aguirre is trained to perform his procedures with the same techniques and skills pioneered by Dr. David Matlock, with his own touch based on his broad background in pelvic reconstructive surgery.

The CareGiver Partnership Offers New Containment Swim Brief for Incontinent Adults and Teens

Neenah, WI (PRWEB)

The CareGiver Partnership has added a swim brief made for adults and teens managing incontinence to its product offerings.

?This swim brief is unique in that it?s designed for adults and teens with bowel incontinence, unlike a product such as Little Swimmers for toddlers,? says Lynn Wilson, Co-Founder of The CareGiver Partnership. ?The SOSecure Containment Swim Brief will contain a small amount of urinary leakage as well.?

The machine-washable brief is made to be worn under a regular swimsuit and next to the skin. It was designed by a mom for her daughter, with comfort in mind. It?s made of latex-free, stretch polyurethane fabric with a fleece lining and has elastic waist and leg bands.

?To maximize effectiveness, it?s important to purchase the right size, then keep it snug using the adjustable closures,? says Wilson. ?Measure waist size and hip size, then order according to the largest measurement. Anyone less than 5 feet tall should order the youth size because of its shorter rise; customers taller than 5 feet will better fit in an adult size.?

The SOSecure Containment Swim Brief is available online at The CareGiver Partnership in sizes extra small, to fit waists or hips 22 to 23 inches, to 5XL, fitting waists or hips up to 58 inches.

?This product has a myriad of uses. While it?s useful for swimming in summer because it?s thin and discreet, it?s also great for winter trips and to cover disposable or cloth diapers,? Wilson says.

Ice Cream Manufacturing in Australia Industry Market Research Report Now Updated by IBISWorld

April 30th, 2012 No comments

Melbourne, Australia (PRWEB)

Australia’s sweet tooth has kept the Ice Cream Manufacturing industry in Australia afloat despite rising input prices, changing consumer dietary trends and a slowing economy. There have been dramatic increases in milk and sugar prices in the past five years as well as a fall in production volumes. However, this was partly offset by an increase in average selling prices. The advent and subsequent growth of the health-conscious consumer has required producers to be innovative with their product lines and adapt them to changing consumer trends. According to IBISWorld industry analyst Naren Sivasailam, ?in the five years through 2011-12, industry revenue is estimated to have increased at an annualized 2.5% to total $ 496.8 million, after a slight 1.3% decline during 2011-12.

One of the TOP programs to Get in Shape in 2012

The industry’s major players such as Nestle and Unilever are extremely well entrenched in the domestic market and their brands command enviable levels of loyalty. Consequently, the major players have been able to pass on cost increases down the supply chain during times of dramatic input price volatility, such as during 2007-08. As well as a stagnant domestic market, industry exports have fallen over the past five years due to the appreciation of the Australian dollar, weak global demand and transport limitations imposed by the perishable nature of the product. Import growth has been positive in the last three years owing to the volatility in domestic demand and supply conditions that forced producers to resort to overseas markets to source their products.

Over the next five years, IBISWorld expects stability in input prices and a move toward the production of high-margin, premium products that address the trends of health and convenience. Future growth is also tied to innovation and new product development. ?The emphasis on health and nutrition is expected to continue to drive new product choices with an increase in organic, soy, gluten-free and low-fat ice creams,? Sivasailam adds. As global economic conditions improve, strong export growth, particularly within Asian markets, is also expected to drive general industry growth.

The Ice Cream Manufacturing industry in Australia is characterised by a high level of market share concentration. Although the industry has several small-to-medium operators, the majority of its revenue is generated by the major players: Nestle and Unilever Australia. In June 2009, Fonterra exited the industry and decreased industry concentration. Concentration also varies between product segments. Take-home tubs and multi-pack production tends to be heavily dominated by a few foreign-owned firms, such as Nestle, and account for majority of domestic production. Premium and niche ice creams such as gelato, however, are more fragmented and therefore less concentrated.

Dubai Desert Boot Camp Launches First Residential Boot Camp For Women in the UAE

April 28th, 2012 No comments

Dubai, UAE (PRWEB)

There are many “bootcamp” styled fitness camps operating in Dubai, and these have grown popular in the past few years. So news of another bootcamp launching in the UAE seemed nothing out of the ordinary. Uniquely though, this bootcamp is revolutionizing the way military style fitness and weight loss regimes are brought to the Region with its intensive, residential approach coupled with nutritional supervision.

Transforming Lives

Dubai Desert Boot Camp is the first and only residential military fitness style program on offer in the UAE. Secondly, it is open only to women. Confidentiality is observed with such zeal that the precise camp location remains out of bounds, and the Founder is referred to only as ?X?.

Encouraging, not punishing

The regime is tough and delivers results. Interestingly though, the ethos is not the traditional brutal, mundane and repetitive routine. The atmosphere is built on mutual trust and respect between participants and Instructors ? all of whom are likeable, jovial ex British Armed Forces personnel. These men know how to run a tight ship and get the best results, and strike a well judged balancing act to exert enough direction and focus to their team, coupled with quiet words of encouragement.

The Desert Camp runs a tough, tight schedule to deliver maximum benefits for each individual client, packed with every type of activity imaginable between 5.30am and 7.30pm. Every woman is there for a reason ? some are driven to lose the Dubai Stone that has crept up on them over the past year, some need a week off from work and life pressures to focus on themselves and put a zing back in their stride. Real women, with real challenges who all leave the Desert Boot Camp fitter, happier, healthier, and markedly so.

Every client’s stay is top secret. Classified. Need to know basis.

Much of the Desert Camp is top secret. Even participants, who tend to return two to three times per year, are asked not to divulge too many secrets about their life-changing experiences to other new participants. Each program runs weekly and clients can join them consecutively if they wish to lose a lot of weight or get very fit.

Every day is different, every participant is unique

Aside from the expected physical challenges, ranging from circuit training army style to yoga and stretching, every day is different. Constant movement is key, with every ability level seamlessly included. Held in the outstanding natural beauty of the United Arab Emirates, the area?s stunning contours are put to use for hiking, mountain biking, orienteering, survival skills and river crossing. Confidence is built daily with ever increasing physical conditioning improving, as well as instruction in self defense, healthy living and of course diet and nutrition.

nutrition is a key element and every detail is paid to providing beautifully presented, tasty yet calorie controlled healthy food. Education is provided on nutrition and diet ? as part of the overall lifestyle changes the Desert Camp is seeking to instill and empower their participants with when the time comes to leave.

Focus and Seclusion

No mobile phones, no Internet. No one at the Camp cares about the latest manicure or blow dry or what clients are wearing. It?s a holistic approach encouraging women to take charge of their lives, live healthier, longer, safer and most of all, happier. And the best way that has been found to date is with a full immersion, away from usual routines and lifestyle to jump start clients into a revised routine, full of energy and ready to embrace a healthier lifestyle.

Harvard Researcher Identifies Alternative to Increase Focus and Performance

April 26th, 2012 No comments

Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB)

Jittery energy drinks disrupt physical performance. Brain Institute Director identifies new GungHo Focus Shot that may improve focus, performance and endurance.

Caffeine Distraction

Athletic prowess like never before. ?Red Bull gives you wings.? Such are the promises of energy drinks. ?If by ?wings,? Red Bull meant anxiety, shaky hands and nausea? then yes, I had wings,? said Susan Lacke, triathlete. It?s more like false hope. ?Caffeine cuts both ways. It can reduce performance as well as enhance it,? says Dr. Dan Mowry. ?That is why most energy shots or drinks fail at both ends of your workout. The initial buzz and jitters disrupt focus and goal-oriented, physical performance. Critical compositional imbalances provoke the resulting ?crash.?

Other Stimulants Unproven

Energy drink manufacturers claim that combining stimulants from B vitamins and amino acids like taurine provides extra energy. Here?s the thing about B vitamins in energy drinks: They don?t actually work. As the chairwoman of Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness nutritionists for the American Dietetic Association said in an interview with the LA Times: ?It?s brilliant marketing, but it doesn?t have any basis.? Vitamins B6 and B12, in large doses, have been found to contribute to numbness and tingling in the hands and feet; insomnia; hyperthyroid; and the degeneration of vital organs, such as the liver, kidneys, and nervous system.

The physical benefits of taurine have been deemed ?scientifically doubtful.? Researchers from the University of Wisconsin found that caffeine and taurine together contributed to a marked increase in blood pressure and bradycardia (a potentially dangerous decrease in heart rate). ?Simply ingesting caffeine, no matter what kinds of vitamins, amino acids or steroids may be added to it, stimulates just one neurotransmitter category and thereby can promote imbalance,? said Dr. Mowry.

Yet ?there?s good evidence that caffeine is ergogenic,? said Dr. Erin Duchan, co-author of a review of the current science about energy drinks for athletes, published recently in The Physician and Sports Medicine. ?It can, in the right circumstances, improve athletic performance,? she added. So how does one strike the correct balance with caffeine for optimal performance?

Brain Energy Key for Sports?

A new focus shot ? GungHo (Chinese for ?work in harmony?) claims to provide the balanced increase in mental and physical energy that athletes crave. Said Dr. Perry Renshaw, former Harvard professor, Director at the Brain Institute and renowned brain health scientist: ?GungHo is the only energy shot or drink that contains natural ingredients at proven effective doses to improve focus and concentration. Unlike other energy products that deal with short-term energy and no lasting impact on brain energy, GungHo will actually increase levels of critical neurotransmitters in the brain over time.?

Why care about ?brain energy? and ?neurotransmitters? when working out? Neurotransmitters increase your ability to metabolize fat and help to suppress your appetite. While the brain makes up only two percent of a person?s body weight, it consumes roughly 20 percent of the body?s energy when at rest. When performing difficult physical activities, the brain needs even more energy. Also, ?this cognitive boost improves the activity of neuro-hormones that act to offset, even eliminate, the jittery side effects of caffeine while increasing one? ability to maintain focus on the exercise itself. Mental alertness is often more important for success than physical energy, for athletes,? said Mowry.

GungHo is formulated to offer energy once your muscles are tired (increased choline supports the re-synthesis of muscle). With zero sugar, just four calories and no carbonation, is GungHo the ultimate complement to physical performance? ?No, nothing replaces sleep, eating well and drinking lots of water. But if you want a boost of smooth physical and mental energy, then try GungHo,? says Mason, Co-Founder.

About GungHo

GungHo is an energy shot for the brain. It was launched by Go GungHo, Inc. out of Salt Lake City, UT in early 2012. More than simple alertness, GungHo?s proprietary blend of ingredients are proven to increase focus, concentration, memory storage, and memory recall, while typically avoiding the harsh rush, jitters, and crash common with other energy products.
