Joint Relief

October 10th, 2009 Hans K Anderson No comments

There has been a study done on joint relief that compared glucosamine against the pain reliever and anti-inflammatory ibuprofen. The study showed that glucosamine worked better then ibuprofen as a joint pain treatment. It did take the glucosamine supplement longer to take effect by about four weeks.

Glucosamine not only has anti-inflammatory effects but it may also help treat arthritis by assisting to regenerate cartilage.

The truth is research has shown glucosamine in pill or liquid glucosamine form (which I prefer) may help you recover from connective-tissue injuries and may help in strengthening this tissue. If your elbows, knees or shoulders are crying out with pain, you might want to try glucosamine.

Anybody who trains with weights or works at a physical job may over a period of time experience overuse injuries. At some point you may be forced to change your workout or job do to the pain in you’re joints. The use of glucosamine may give relief to you’re joints, allowing you to continue you’re current activities.

It’s a wise idea to consult you’re doctor when you have any on going pain and before you take supplements.
