Don’t Leave The Toilet Seat Up

March 30th, 2012 No comments

I no longer leave the toilet seat up when I’m flushing the toilet. Doctor Oz has stopped me from doing something that I have done for years.

Doctor Oz explained that when the toilet is flushed it can spray a fine (aerosol effect) mist undetected by the human eye twenty feet in the air. Particles of feces can spread through out your bathroom landing everywhere, even on your toothbrush.

The bacterial mist has also been shown to stay in the air for at least two hours after each flush, thus maximizing its chance to float around and spread. If this isn’t disgusting enough E. coli may also be present.

Now the whole family puts the toilet seat down.

Doctor Oz

December 6th, 2011 No comments

I just finished watching Doctor Oz with my wife and learned an answer to an age old question.

What does the appendix do for are bodies. We use to believe it serve absolutely no purpose. Not any more

During the Dr. Oz show we were informed that when you become sick with say the flu, the body will flush the bad bacteria out of our bodies.

During this process the good bacteria in our body will basically hide in our appendix until the bad bacteria is flushed from our body. The good bacteria will then continue to grow and spread into the area that it is suppose to be in.

The Doctor Oz show is on every day and I would recommend that everyone watch this show. Ladies you will learn a lot about improving you health. My wife just loves it.

Doctor Oz Tip #3 Breast Cancer Awarness

October 26th, 2010 No comments

Doctor Oz’s tip today is regarding breast cancer.

Doctor Oz advices women to give themselves a breast examination once a month.

It is estimated that 192,370 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 40,170 women will die of cancer of the breast in 2009 (Statistics from the National Cancer Institute).

The earlier that the cancer is detected the better chance you have of saving your life.

I strongly advise all women to take Doctor Oz’s advice seriously. Discuss with your own doctor how often you should be getting checked by a medical professional and make the appointments.
