Try To Stretch Every Day
I have to tell you I’m not the most flexible person, in fact you could say I am a little muscle bound. So I consider myself an expert on daily stretching or the lack of it.
For all you animal lovers, what is the first thing an animal will do when it wakes up….it stretches.
What do humans do….we drag ourselves out of bad and BOOM the day starts and were on the go.
Are we not suppose to be the most intelligent creature on this earth. I can’t believe how intelligent we are yet we don’t have the common sense to stretch when we get up in the morning.
We complain about sore backs, sore arms we complain about having pain all over our bodies. This doesn’t improve as we get older, yet we do nothing to help improve our situation.
We all know that we should be eating better, exercising more and that includes stretching.
Speaking for myself, I watch what I eat, I exercise on a regular basis and I stretch 7 days a week.
Okay I’m lying about the stretching, but I do stretch 3 or 4 days a week. I should stretch more often.
I stretch a little when I’m warming up to workout but that’s about it. It’s not like its a super strenuous type of routine or exercise. Now I’m not talking about yoga, so all you yoga people relax. Yoga is a whole new game when it comes to stretching.
I’m just talking about stretching while watching the television. Holding your stretch for a nice relaxing count of thirty without bouncing.
If we only make the effort to stretch a little in the morning upon rising and later in the evening when were relaxing, we would discover that we would have a lot less pain to complain about.
I for one have made the decision to stretch every day and I’d like to strongly suggest you do the same.
