This tip from Doctor Oz is about how olive oil will help clean arteries.
Olive oil contains monounsaturated fats, which help raise your HDL cholesterol—the “healthy” cholesterol carried through your body by high-density lipoproteins. It actually helps clean out your arteries as it moves through. When it comes to HDL, higher is better—so an HDL level of 60 versus one of 39 will make the average 55-year-old woman four years younger.
Vegetables and flavonoids have also been shown to raise HDL. In fact, you should make sure that healthy fat makes up about 25 percent of your daily calories.

Doctor Oz has stopped me from doing something that I have done for years. I no longer leave the toilet seat up when I’m flushing the toilet.
Doctor Oz explained that when the toilet is flushed it can spray a fine (aerosol effect) mist undetected by the human eye twenty feet in the air. Particles of feces can spread through out your bathroom landing everywhere, even on your toothbrush.
The bacterial mist has also been shown to stay in the air for at least two hours after each flush, thus maximizing its chance to float around and spread. If this isn’t disgusting enough E. coli may also be present.
Now the whole family puts the toilet seat down.

Doctor Oz’s tip today is regarding breast cancer.
Doctor Oz advices women to give themselves a breast examination once a month.
It is estimated that 192,370 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 40,170 women will die of cancer of the breast in 2009 (Statistics from the National Cancer Institute).
The earlier that the cancer is detected the better chance you have of saving your life.
I strongly advise all women to take Doctor Oz’s advice seriously. Discuss with your own doctor how often you should be getting checked by a medical professional and make the appointments.

Women have more fat cells then men in the triceps area.
Unfortunately ladies that is why women as they age will have saggy triceps and most men will not. It just happens to be one of the areas on a women that needs a little extra attention.
Use a bench or chair. It will need to be sturdy enough to hold your body weight. Stand in front of the bench, with your back to it.
Place your hands on the bench with your palms down and your knuckles facing forward. Hands should be slightly closer than shoulder width apart. As you are doing this you will bend at the knees and your legs should be at a 90-degree angle.
Lower your body by bending at the elbow. Exhale slowly as you bend. Lower for a count of two. Elbows should not point out away from the body as you lower. Keep them close to your body.
Straighten your arms out. This will push your body back up. Inhale slowly through your nose as you straighten your arm.
Complete 10 to 12 repetitions. This is considered one set. Towards the end of the set it should get difficult to perform the exercise. Perform enough repetitions of the tricep dip to work the muscle to fatigue without causing pain.
Do two to three sets. Rest your triceps for a minute in between sets. Work your triceps two to three times a week, with 48 hours between workouts..
I’ve decided to add a category called “Doctor Oz Tips”.
