Q: What is an “alkaline water ionizer”?
A: The word “ion” means a positively or negatively charged particle. A water ionizer is basically a machine that splits up water molecule clusters and breaks them down into two types of water: alkaline water and acid water. By passing a small amount of electricity through a good quality alkaline water machine’s platinum coated titanium electrodes as the water passes through, the water molecule clusters break up into smaller clusters with about 70% of the clusters being positively charged alkaline water molecules and the other 30% negatively charged acid water molecules. These machines could be called alkaline water makers, because that’s the most important thing they do. However many people love to also use the acid water that comes out of the lower spout of the machine. Acid water is great for cleaning, skin care & watering plants. In good machines the ionization process also changes the water into a strong antioxidant. Many believe the antioxidant properties of ionized water (ORP) are even more important than the alkalinity of the water for health and longevity.

The average person can live without food from 4 to 6 weeks. Living without water will depend on how much excursion you put out (how much sweat) and the current temperature of the environment you are in.
Without water at a temperature of 120 F/48.9 C you could survive for 2 days. At 50 F / 10.0 C,60 F / 15.6 C or 70 F / 21.1 C you would survive for 10 days. Needless to say we cannot live without water.

The bottles are generally safe, says Ken Smith, PhD, immediate past chair of the American Chemical Society’s division of environmental chemistry. But scientists say when stored in hot or warm temperatures, the plastic may leach chemicals into the water.
We already new that tap water isn’t the healthiest water to drink, now we understand that drinking bottled water really isn’t that much better. And don’t get me started on the incredible amount of waste created with all of these plastic bottles.
The main point of this post is the best possible water you can drink which is Alkaline Ionized Water.
Alkaline water is water above the neutral level which is considered to be 7.0 pH. When the pH of the body gets out of balance (too acidic), we may experience low energy, fatigue, excess weight, poor digestion, aches and pains, and even more serious disorders.
Our bodies consist of over 70% water. The most optimum pH level to be at is a slightly alkaline range of about 7.3 pH.
The best way to maintain these healthy pH levels and keep your body at it’s peak operating performance is by drinking water after it has gone through a water ionizer.
