Anybody can learn how to stretch, your age or present flexibility level does not matter. You don’t have to be in incredible shape or have any athletic skills. If you sit behind a desk, work construction, clean your own house, drive a taxi, or exercise every day, the same procedures for stretching apply.

Gentle and easy is the proper method, changing to individual differences in flexibility and muscle tension. If you are healthy, without any particular physical problems, you can learn how to stretch safely and enjoyably.

If you have been sedentary or not active for a prolonged period of time, if you have had any recent physical problems or surgery, particularly of the joints and muscles, please consult your physician before you start a stretching or exercise
program.
