Throw Out The Height And Weight Charts

I was surfing the internet when I came across various height and weight charts for health purposes. Which, I just can’t stand.

It also reminded me of my daughters WII Fit. When my daughter made a profile for me, it said that I was obese. Now, I’m not a small man. I’m 6’1″ and I weigh 230lbs. My waist is 32″ and I can bench press over 400lbs. Just for the record, I’ve never used steroids or any other performance enhancing drug. I have always trained naturally.

The point is I’m a weight lifter. I carry a lot of muscle on my body and not fat. Muscle weighs more then fat, yet I’m considered obese on every chart out there.

These height and weight charts are complete garbage. It’s not that this charts don’t, they can’t take the amount of muscle you carry on you’re body into consideration.

Let’s say you do carry a little extra weight on your body. Not everybody is meant to be super thin or built like a bodybuilder. You may already be at a weight that is right for you’re optimum health.

I know people that you might consider a little over weight. Yet they have tremendous cardio and strength. Which you should also try to improve on.

The point is, don’t pay attention to these charts. A lot of people are setting ourselves up to lose for no reason.
